rED STAG Stalking

1 August - 20 October

Ben Alder Estate spans over 56,500 acres of dramatic mountains, lochs, and unspoilt wilderness, offering an exceptional stalking experience.

Stalking takes place across four distinct beats, with traditional stalking ponies used in certain areas to access more remote terrain.

We welcome guests of all physical abilities and can tailor the experience to be as challenging or as accessible as desired.

Where the ground allows, our Highland ponies are used to recover the deer.

HIND STALKING

21 October - 15 February

Hind stalking at Ben Alder takes place during the colder months, when careful deer management is essential to the health of the herd and the wider environment.

We welcome all levels of experience and fitness. Whether you’re looking for a challenging day out or something more steady, we’ll work with you to make sure the day suits you.

Trout Fishing

15 March - 06 October

Ben Alder Estate is home to the magnificent Loch Ericht- one of Scotland’s largest freshwater lochs, stretching over 18 square kilometres and reaching depths of more than 150 metres.

We provide tailored fishing packages giving guests the opportunity to catch brown and ferox trout.

For those seeking an even more remote experience, the estate also offers access to the stunning Loch Pattack and other hill lochs.

Salmon Fishing

11 February - 30 September

Enjoy the experience of salmon fishing on three miles of the upper world-famous River Spey, the birthplace of Spey casting and one of Scotland’s most iconic salmon rivers.

Simulated Shoot

Coming Soon

Simulated game shooting offers an experience that closely replicates a traditional driven day, blending the excitement of clay pigeon shooting with the authenticity of a real game shoot.

Each drive is carefully designed to mirror classic game shooting, with clays released in lifelike patterns and flight paths that emulate partridge, pheasant, grouse and duck.

The result is a challenging, engaging experience that allows participants to test their shooting skills, refine their timing, and sharpen their focus in a realistic sporting environment.
