The journey to Ben Alder begins from Dalwhinnie, with a scenic track following the shores of Loch Ericht. The route first reaches Culra Lodge, a former bothy that today marks the gateway to the wider Ben Alder range. From here, the path opens into the high ground, guiding walkers into the heart of the mountains and towards the majestic slopes of Ben Alder itself.
